HERDERWOMAN OF BOGD SOUM MADE LARGEST STITCHED FELT FLOORING

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ N.Nasantogtokh, a citizen of Bogd soum of Uvurkhangai aimag made the largest stitched felt flooring in Mongolia with size of 24m by 180 cm. She started to stitch the flooring together with her siblings in 2014 and neighboring women used to come to help them. “We stitched the felt flooring by an order of Sh.Batsugar, Head of ‘Nomads of World Heritage- Orkhon River' tourism association in Uvurkhangai aimag and now it decorates exhibition hall of Misheel Expo center during International Tourism Fairs,” said Mrs.Nasantogtokh. Her family hosts tourists to guide local natural beautiful places and introduce heritage of nomads while running animal farming. "Tourists are much interested in riding a horse and camel, thread and rope spinning, felt rug stitching and making dairy products", she added.
