HM King hails robust Bahraini-Saudi relations, cooperation

Riyadh, Feb. 1 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in the Saudi capital today at the invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to attend the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival’s conclusive ceremony.
Upon arrival at the King Khalid International Airport, HM the King was received by HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the Governor of Riyadh Region, Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa along with the embassy staff, and senior Saudi officials.
HM the King delivered the following statement:
"We are delighted to arrive in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today upon an invitation from our brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to participate in the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival.
This festival emanates from the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in boosting the civilizational, patriotic aspects and genuine heritage of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to preserve the heritage of camels and boost it in the Saudi, Arab and Islamic culture.
We also express our great pleasure to meet anew with our brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah bless and nurture him.
We affirm through this visit our keenness to deepen the historic ties between our two fraternal countries and peoples connected by bonds of kinship and shared destiny, in an embodiment of the shared wish to develop and consolidate these ties which are becoming stronger as time elapses.
We are also keen on taking forward the momentum of cooperation and boost our mutual coordination in various fields to serve our shared interests and meet the aspirations of both brotherly peoples for further development and growth.
Our meeting with our brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques will be an opportunity to exchange visions and views on the latest developments in the region with the aim of coordination to confront the various threats and challenges facing both our countries and to ensure the consolidation of their security and stability.
We reassert the laudable efforts and commendable goodwill initiatives of our brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques which have tremendous effect in safeguarding the region against many risks. Such efforts embody the pioneering leadership role undertaken by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially during such critical situations in the region."
His Majesty the King wished the two brotherly countries and peoples more security, stability, prosperity and welfare.
