Hospital official rejects demise of Chairman of Iran Expediency Council

Tehran, Dec 24, IRNA - Head of Khatamolanbia Hospital dismissed the news regarding death of Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, Chariman of the Expediency Discernment Council. Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Pir Hossein Koulivand said Ayatollah Shahroudi is in coma and hospitalized in intensive critical unit (ICU). He is in critical condition, he added. Some news websites in Iran reported this morning that Ayatollah Shahroudi has died.
