HRH Premier receives JP Morgan's CEO

Manama, May 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received the Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan’s Corporate and Investment Bank, Daniel Pinto, at the Gudaibiya Palace today. HRH Premier stressed the historical status of Bahrain as a financial and banking hub in the region, praising the role played by J.P. Morgan’s Corporate and Investment Bank in supporting Bahrain's financial and banking sector for 45 years, being among the largest and the oldest banks to operate in Bahrain. The Prime Minister affirmed the government's keenness to harness all potentials and provide the necessary facilities for banks and financial firms that operate in Bahrain through robust legislation and laws that support them. HRH the Prime Minister highlighted the distinguished status enjoyed by J.P. Morgan Bank as a global leader in delivering financial and banking services. The Prime Minister stressed that Bahrain has strengthened its status as a distinguished leading financial and banking centre in the region through hosting international financial and banking institutions, including J.P Morgan. HRH Premier pointed out that the government has focused its efforts on consolidating the investment-attracting infrastructure through adapting technology and developing its regulations and laws in order to keep abreast of the rapid growth of the financial and business world, and put in place a business-friendly environment for financial and banking institutions that operate in Bahrain. This environment is supported by the existence of highly-qualified national competencies that are prepared to join the financial and banking sector, the Premier added. JP Morgan's CEO, Daniel Pinto, lauded Bahrain's distinguished position as a leading financial and banking centre in the region, which, he said, reflects the success of the efforts of the government, led by HRH the Prime Minister, and its integrated vision to put in place a perfect environment for the financial and banking sector to flourish. He also praised Bahrain's business facilities, regulations and advanced laws and legislation, which entitles it to be a favorable destination for mega banking institutions.
