HRH Premier receives US ambassador

Manama, Aug. 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that safeguarding security and stability is necessary for development and nation-building. Terrorism is an enemy to development and people, and its danger constitutes a major concern to governments, and therefore a unified stance against those funding and supporting it is necessary to ensure continuous security and stability in the region, he said. The Prime Minister was speaking as he received the outgoing US Ambassador to Bahrain, William Roebuck, at the Gudaibiya Palace today. HRH Premier affirmed the kingdom’s keenness on enhancing its relations with the US and broadening fields of joint cooperation with it. The Prime Minister highlighted Bahrain’s desire to bolster cooperation with the US across all sectors, based on the long-standing strong friendly relations between them and their shared keenness on finding varied fields of constructive and fruitful cooperation between them at all levels. HRH the Prime Minister underlined Bahrain’s constant keenness on bolstering cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries from all over the world based on mutual understanding, coordination and respect in order to foster peace and rapprochement among peoples. The Prime Minister reviewed with the US envoy the latest regional and international developments, and lauded the role played by the USA in supporting all efforts aimed at achieving global stability and peace. Ambassador Roebuck expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his interest in developing Bahraini-US relations in various fields.
