Indian Actress Aishwarya Rai Leaves Hospital After COVID-19 Treatment

NEW DELHI, July 28 (Bernama) -- Indian film actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya were discharged from a Mumbai hospital on Monday, 10 days after they were taken there for COVID-19 treatment. But the 46-year-old Bollywood star's actor husband Abhishek Bachchan, 44, and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, 77, remain in the same hospital since July 11 because of the infection. "Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff," Abhishek tweeted. Meanwhile, India continues to see a sharp rise in coronavirus infections. It saw a record single-day jump of 49,931 cases, taking the total to more than 1.4 million on Monday, according to the federal health ministry.
