Indonesia To Chair Last meeting Of UN High Level Panel

Jakarta, May 27 (Antara) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to chair the last meeting of the United Nations high level panel on the post-2015 development agenda. On his Twitter account @SBYudhoyono, President Yudhoyono on Sunday night asked his countrymen to pray for the success and smoothness of the meeting in New York from May 29 to 31, 2013. "Please pray for the success of the meeting so that its result may bring benefit to all of us," the head of state said. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has asked President Yudhoyono, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to jointly chair the UN high level panel. "The final meeting of the UN high level panel in New York will discuss the substance of reports, including the final title of the panel report," Yudhoyono said. According to him, it will be the fifth meeting or the last after four previous meetings, respectively in New York in September 2012, London in November 2012, Monrovia in February 2013, and Bali in March 2013. President Yudhoyono said that in the final discussion, the outcome of UN high level panel on 2015-post development agenda will be submitted to the UN chief in order to be discussed with the UN member states. "The document that I will submit to the UN chief is "One World: A Global Partnership for Sustainable Development & Poverty Eradication," Yudhoyono said.
