Indonesia: Paid COVID-19 Vaccination Programme In Indonesia Postponed
JAKARTA, July 12 (Bernama) -- Indonesia has postponed the paid Mutual Assistance Vaccination for COVID-19, which was supposed to begin Monday.
This postponement was made due to the high interest and questions from the public regarding the programme.
The Corporate Secretary of PT Kimia Farma Ganti Winarno Putro was quoted by Antara News Agency, saying that overwhelming enthusiasm and inquiries received from the public regarding the programme led to the decision to extend the familiarisation period and to arrange the registration process.
It was earlier reported that PT Kimia Farma Diagnostics, a subsidiary of PT Kimia Farma, was readying 40 thousand doses of paid individual vaccines for distribution in six cities in Java and Bali.
Meanwhile, according to the data made available by Badan Nasional Pengurusan Bencana Indonesia Twitter handle @BNPB_Indonesia, as of Sunday more than 36.2 million Indonesians have received their first vaccine dose juta through the national vaccine programme, while 15 million of the number have also received their second dose.
