Indonesian Community In Germany Celebrates Christmas

Frankfurt, Dec 27 (Antara) - Around five hundred Indonesians congregated at the Indonesian Consulate building in Frankfurt, Germany, to celebrate Christmas on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. Indonesian Consulate General in Frankfurt, Damos Dumoli Agusman, stated that the guests gathered for the Christmas celebrations at the consulate were not only Christians, but also Muslims and Hindus. "Every Indonesian living in Germany feels a sense of belonging, which has removed all differences. At the Christmas party, everyone blended in," Agusman claimed. Agusman noted that apart from religious communities, some communities like the Indonesian Frankfurt Community Association and the Deutsch-Indonesische Gesellschaft or Indonesian-Germany Friendship Association, also delivered Christmas greetings during the party. Indonesians across Germany celebrated Christmas at local churches and at the Indonesian Christian Fellowship venues located in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Nurnberg, as well as at the Indonesian Missionaries Church and with the Indonesian Christian-Catholic Community and the Indonesian Munchen Fellowship.
