Interior minister receives RCO secretary-general

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Secretary-General and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nasser Centre for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, who introduced to him the Undersecretary of the UAE Education Ministry and the Managing Director of the Centre Abdulrahman Al Hamadi . The meeting was also attended by the Interior Ministry's Undersecretary Major-General Khalid Al Absi. The minister appreciated RCO's efforts, which are constantly supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, RCO Honorary President, to care for orphans, noting that RCO has a humane and social role that eases the financial burden on needy families and represents the strong bond between the leadership and citizens. He hailed the role of the centre, established as per directives from HM the King. He hailed the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Centre for supporting the centre's goals of enhancing the skills of youngsters. The Interior Minister said that the Interior Ministry is looking forward to reinforcing community partnership to promote cooperation for a comprehensive training programme for inmates and detainees at the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre to integrate them into society. Dr. Al Sayed expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Interior Minister for his dedication for the best of the nation. He highlighted the readiness of the centre to cooperate with the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation to promote community partnership.
