Iran enriches Belgrade Int'l Book Fair: official

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA – Iran’s participation at Belgrade's 59th International Book Exhibition has enriched the event, said the Deputy General Manager of Belgrade fairs.
The book fair opened on Sunday, October 26, with the attendance of over 850 domestic and foreign publishers, including Iran.
During the fair, the Deputy General Manager at Belgrade fairs Marija Labović held a meeting with Iran’s cultural attache in Serbia Mahmoud Shalouei and the representative of Islamic Guidance and Culture Ministry Homayoun Amir-Zadeh.
Discussing the Belgrade International Book Fair in her meeting with Iranian officials, Labović said: “Although the book fair is not as extensive as Tehran's International Book Fair (TIBF), it still affects the southeast of Europe.”
Homayoun Amir-Zadeh, for his part, extended an invitation to Labović to attend the next TIBF.
He added that attending such joint cultural events will help bolster Iran-Serbia’s cultural roots.
The Belgrade International Book Exhibition is the largest and oldest cultural event in the southeast of Europe./end
