Iran ranks 11th by natural disaster risk

Tehran, Dec 25, IRNA – Iran is now the eleventh world country prone to natural disasters, according to head of Iranian Space Agency. Speaking during a specialized panel meeting on partnership of universities in removing national problems on Tuesday, Morteza Barabar said that Iran is the number one country in terms of earthquake risk and ranks 22 in terms of drought. The meeting was held a day before National Earthquake Day.
