Iran's 1st VP Off To Lebanon To Review Issues Of Mutual Interest

Tehran, May 2, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi left Tehran for Beirut on Wednesday to review issues of mutual interest with senior Lebanese officials. Heading a politico-economic delegation, Rahimi's two-day visit is taking place at the invitation of the Lebanese prime minister. During his visit, Rahimi is planned to meet with top Lebanese officials including president, premier and parliament speaker. The meetings will focus on avenues to bolster bilateral cooperation and implement the agreements inked between the two countries. The latest regional and international developments will be among other issues discussed by the two sides. Tehran-Beirut relations have witnessed upward trend in the past years./end
