Iraq's Ambassador In Moscow Meets Russian Minister of Communications

BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqi Ambassador to Russia, Mohsen Ismail Shafeeq discussed with Russian Communications Minister Nikolay Nikiorov the development of relations between the two countries in the field of communications and information technologies and the possibility of training Iraqi cadres in the ministry's scientific and educational institutions. The two sides, according to a foreign ministry statement today, agreed on the preparation of a memorandum of understanding in the field of communication and exchanging visits between officials in the ministries of communications, to sign the memorandum during the meetings of the Joint Commission in the autumn. The ambassador confirmed the need to lay the foundations of cooperation between the two countries in the field of the wireless and wired communications and information protection at the level of ministries and government institutions, or at the level of companies working in the field of telecommunications.
