Isa Award granting to hospital hailed
Cairo, June 5 (BNA): Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, has extended his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for attending and patronizing, in the presence of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the award-giving ceremony of the 3rd edition of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity which went to Egypt Children’s Cancer Hospital.
“This award has become a prominent mark for the service to humanity and a symbol of tolerance, mercy and brotherhood that serves its goals without discrimination or setting conditions,” Shaikh Rashid remarked.
He noted that the award will alleviate the sufferings of those in need and encourage humans to work towards a better life, adding that it represents the values, principles and good deeds of late Amir, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
“His Majesty the King’s patronage of the award reflects his noble initiatives in supporting humanitarian work in the Kingdom of Bahrain and elsewhere,” the Ambassador said, highlighting the great efforts of the Royal Charity Organization (RCO) inside and outside the Kingdom, under the directives of His Majesty the King and the close follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to promote charitable and development work in all its forms.
Shaikh Rashid expressed thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and the organizers for their continuous efforts, thanking in particular the award judging panel for the fair and transparent decision.
“Granting the award to the Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357, one of the most successful charity projects in the country and the Middle East that medically treats children with cancer at no cost, will be used by the Foundation to create a scientific research for the treatment of cancer and construct a new building in the name of the Amir HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa,” the Ambassador noted
He also affirmed that the award reflects the strong brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt at the official and popular levels, pointing Egyptian leadership and people’s appreciation of the efforts and stances of His Majesty the King in serving humanity around the world.
