Istanbul makes highest exports in 2011

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Istanbul became the top city that made the highest exports from Turkey in 2011. According to figures of Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM), Istanbul is on top with 59 billion USD of exports while it was followed by Kocaeli with 12.6 billion USD, and Bursa with 12.5 billion USD last year. Turkey made a record-high exports with 134.6 billion USD in the history of Republic last year. The number of provinces, which made exports over one billion USD, increased to 16 in 2011. Their exports amount reached 109.5 billion USD.
