Jeenbekov with his spouse attend official reception of US President in honor of heads of UN delegations

Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2018. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov paid a visit to New York, USA on September 24-26, the press service of the Kyrhgyz President's Office reported. The country leader met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, took part in the General Debate of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, attended with his wife the official reception of US President Donald Trump in honor of the heads of UN delegations. Sooronbay Jeenbekov opened a photo exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chynghyz Aitmatov in D. Hammarskjöld Library of the UN. At the photo exhibition it was noted that such an event in the UN library was being held for the first time. At the same venue, the Head of State met with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in New York. He laid flowers at the National September 11 Memorial, built on the site of the towers of the World Trade Center destroyed in 2001 in memory of those killed in this place as a result of the terrorist attack. During the visit, the country leader attebded the office of the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN, having familiarized himself with the working conditions of its employees.
