Jeenbekov meets with Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission of China Xu Qiliang

Bishkek, Sept. 07, 2018. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission of China, Colonel-General Xu Qiliang. Jeenbekov noted that China is a close friend, reliable partner, and a good neighbor to Kyrgyzstan. Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations the two countries signed multiple bilateral documents aimed at developing friendly relations and establishing mutually beneficial cooperation. “We are grateful to our friendly neighbor for supporting our country over the years of its development. During my state visit to China the Joint Declaration on comprehensive development of strategic partnership and 10 more bilateral documents were signed. We are ready to further develop our cooperation with China," the President said. At the meeting there was an exchange of views regarding the matters of ensuring security in the region. “In this direction Kyrgyzstan, jointly with China, CSTO, and other international organizations for the matters of cooperation in the sphere of security, is ready to counteract challenges and threats," the President noted. Jeenbekov conveyed his best wishes to President of China Xí Jìnpíng, stressing that he is looking forward to the President’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan the day before the SCO Summit in 2019. Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission of PRC Xu Qiliang told that the purpose of his visit was realization of the agreements, reached in June, 2018 during the state visit of Jeenbekov to PRC, concerning deepening cooperation in the military-technical sphere between the armed forces of the two countries, aimed at raising it to a new level.
