Jeenbekov ratifies Agreement on regime of Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border

Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the regime of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border signed on December 25, 2017 in the city of Astana." The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on June 28, 2018. The Agreement provides for the rules for the maintenance and crossing of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border, the passage of persons, vehicles and the movement of goods and animals across the state border, the resolution of border incidents, economic, fishing or other activities, political, cultural or other events at the state border. The law enters into force ten days after the day of its official publication.
