JOINT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE HOLDS ITS 6TH MEETING

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) are implementing the ‘Project for strengthening the national capacity of earthquake disaster protection and prevention in Mongolia’ in 2017-2019. The joint management committee of the project held its 6th meeting on March 19 at the NEMA. Colonel D.Batsaikhan, chief of the Disaster Prevention Department, NEMA, made a presentation on ongoing actions within the project. Within the project, quake simulators and devices to evaluate building’s resistance to quake will be provided to the Ulaanbaatar Training and Methodology Center for Disaster Protection. The 6th meeting also discussed about schedules of placing the devices and equipment and selection of a khoroo of Ulaanbaatar city and a soum of Zavkhan aimag where a public training on disaster protection will be held.
