Jordan welcomes successful elections in Bahrain

Amman, Nov. 25 (BNA): Jordan has welcomed the successful parliamentary and municipal elections held in Bahrain on Saturday. Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs, and Government Spokesperson, Jumana Ghunaimat, congratulated the government and the people of Bahrain on the success of the democratic process, which, she said, achieved the highest voter turnout in the history of elections in Bahrain. The popular participation in the elections indicates an important political phase in the future of Bahrain, Ghunaimat said, expressing hope for further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
