Khalid bin Hamad congratulates his brother on championship title

Manama, July 18 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, and Captain of Al Khalidiya stables congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Captain of the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, on the occasion of the Royal Team winning the title of the French race "Argenton", after Hamad Janahi achieved the first place. The distance of the event was 130km, in which Janahi managed to finish it in 6:24.57 hours with a speed of 20 kilometres, securing his seat at the World Youth Championship that will be held in Italy in the process. HH Shaikh Khalid stressed that Bahrain's equestrian and endurance sports are in the interest and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as His Majesty’s backing enabled it to have a prestigious position on global level. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said: "His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has played a prominent role in translating the visions and directives of His Majesty the King in order to support the Bahraini endurance sport, reaching this great position. The efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser put into it was the main reason behind the Bahrain Royal Endurance team achieving many of the honourable results in international events." His Highness congratulated Janahi for achieving this honourable result in this race, which witnessed the presence of many participants from around the world. HH also praised Mohammad Al Miqdad on the result achieved by winning the third place in the same race. His Highness praised the efforts of the technical and administrative staff of the Royal Team, and wishing at the same time all the success for the team in order to be able to participate in the upcoming events and to achieve more achievements that are added to the Bahraini endurance.
