ALOR SETAR (Kedah, Malaysia), Feb 10 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King, Tuanku
Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah on Friday paid his last respects to the Malaysian
Armed Forces (ATM) officer, Lt Colonel Habibullah Ismail, who died of a heart
attack while serving as Staff Officer under the United Nations Interim Force in
Lebanon (Unifil).
The King was greeted by Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak, who had also
come to pay his last respects, and spent about 15 minutes at Habibullah's family
house here.
Also present were Army chief General Zulkefli Mohd Zin and Malaysia Prime
Minister's Special Functions Officer Datuk Latt Shariman Abdullah.
Habibullah, 42, breathed his last at Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre, Lebanon on
Feb 6.
His remains were brought from Lebanon on a commercial flight which arrived
at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 8.30pm on Thursday before being
flown here on a Royal Malaysian Air Force aircraft C-130.
Habibullah joined the Unifil mission since Nov 14, 2011 and was expected to
return home on Nov 13 this year.
