Kodam IV/Diponegoro Ready To Help Flood Victims

Semarang, Central Java, Jan 23 (Antara) - The whole range of Military Area Command (Kodam) IV/Diponegoro stands ready to help the management of flood victims in some areas in Central Java. "All personnel of Kodam IV/Diponegoro have been kept ready to help people affected by the floods," stated the Commander of Kodam IV/Diponegoro Major General Sunindyo in Semarang on Thursday. Sunindyo will have several military officials with him to visit the flood victims in Pati, Jepara and Kudus. Sunindyo explained that a number of soldiers from Kodam IV/Diponegoro have already been deployed to distribute and provide various types of aid to flood victims, including the setting up of a soup kitchen. "We stand ready to assist in handling the floods that have occurred in some areas in Central Java," he asserted. Sunindyo revealed his plans to improve the soldier houses in the Military Police Dormitory in Jalan Garuda, Semarang. The houses were inundated and are considered to be not feasible to live in. "We will repair the houses in Military Police Dormitory because there is no replacement land available to relocate," he pointed out.
