Kuwait Red Crescent Plans To Set Up A Camp For Iraqi Displaced In Kurdistan, Includes 500 Housing Units
BAGHDAD / NINA / KRCS plans to set up a camp for Iraqi displaced in Kurdistan of / 500 / housing units.
Kuwaiti News Agency quoted the director of disaster management and emergency of Kuwaiti Red Crescent, Yusuf Fahd Al Maraj as saying: "within our near future plan and in order to alleviate the suffering of Iraqi displaced, we will establish a largest camp for displaced in the region in coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government."
Maraj said that "the camp includes / 500 / housing units (caravans) accommodate a large number of displaced families in addition to the necessary service facilities."
He added: "The camp is the largest project done by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and it is one among a set of projects carried out by the State of Kuwait in the Kurdistan region."
He concluded, "The assistance is offered under the attention of the State of Kuwait to relief victims, where Kuwait allocated amount / 200 / million dollars for the relief of Iraqi displaced within the relief to the Iraqi people campaign under the slogan / Kuwait by your side /, revealing that the project will be the beginning of a larger group of projects to serve the afflicted and the needy people in the region ./ End
