Kyrgyz FM and President of OSCE PA discuss development of parliamentary dialogue

Bishkek. Oct. 4, 2018. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev and President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Georgy Tsereteli met in Bishkek in the framework of the autumn meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Tsereteli congratulated Kyrgyzstan, as the host country, on holding for the first time such a large-scale inter-parliamentary forum in Bishkek. The interlocutors noted the importance and relevance of holding a meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Kyrgyzstan, taking into account contemporary challenges and threats to security and stability for the Central Asian region. The sides discussed further interaction and development of the parliamentary dialogue, which is designed to promote the strengthening of mutual trust and cooperation among all OSCE participating states. Earlier Abdyldaev made a presentation at the opening of the meeting, highlighting issues of confidence-building and regional cooperation in order to effectively address security challenges and threats in Central Asia and the entire OSCE area.
