Labour Minister receives GCC Secretary General

Manama, May 28 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, in the presence of Dr. Adel Al Zayani, Head of Human and Environmental Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Council. They discussed enhancing the coordination between GCC General Secretariat and the Executive Office of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs of the GCC, this came to implement the resolution approved at the 36th Summit held in Riyadh in December 2015, adopting the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to promote joint GCC action. The meeting also reviewed the gulf efforts to develop human resources in the GCC countries and facilitate the transfer of national labour among the member countries, thus enhancing brotherly ties and supporting the process of cooperation aimed at achieving balance in labour markets for the benefit of the GCC citizen.
