Lampang waterfall closed due to heavy rain

LAMPANG, Sept 29 (TNA) – Chae Son Waterfall is temporarily closed following heavy rain last night. Head of the Chae Son national park, Pichai Watcharawongpiboon announced the waterfall closure after heavy rain triggered forest run-off and flooded hot spring water ponds in the national park. The amount of rainfall was measured at 100 milimetres last night, he said. Local people, living downstream are put on alert for a possible flash flood. When flood recedes, a clean-up operation will be done to clear mud from hot spring ponds. Meanwhile, indoor mineral water bathing service remains opened as it is not affected by forest run-off, he said. (TNA)
