Leadership congratulated by Shura Council

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): The Shura Council has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, on the 17th Anniversary of the National Action Charter (NAC). In a statement issued during today’s weekly session, presided over by First Deputy Chairman, Jamal Abdulla Fakhro, the Shura Council asserted that NAC anniversary provides an opportunity to renew allegiance to the leadership, recall the continuous national gains, and express pride in the progress and prosperity witnessed by the kingdom in all fields during HM the King’s prosperous era. The session lauded the leadership’s great interest in sustainable development plans and strategies that are focused on the Bahraini citizens, adding that Bahrainis showed sincere loyalty to the nation and the leadership through endorsing NAC by an overwhelming majority of 98.4% during the referendum, which, the statement said, reflected their true patriotism and keenness to make Bahrain a beacon of reform and progress. The council highlighted the progress boom witnessed by the kingdom since the launch of HM the King’s Reform Project, noting that Bahrain’s renaissance march is based on the Bahraini people’s cohesion, unity, co-existence and solidarity, which entitled the country to be in an era of democracy, freedom, openness, separation between constitutional branches and the state of law and institutions. This has resulted in a harmonious society whose members enjoy all their civil and political rights, and recognize their patriotic duties and pivotal role in the kingdom’s development, the statement added. The session also stressed that the Legislative Branch, being a pillar of the reform and progress marches in Bahrain, have managed, thanks to the leadership’s support, and the constructive cooperation of the government, to achieve the royal aspirations through developing legislation and laws. The Shura Council also congratulated the Bahraini people on NAC anniversary, praising the citizens’ dedication in the service of the nation. It wished Bahraini leadership and people many happy returns, praying Allah Almighty to bless Bahrain and its people with ever-lasting security and stability, under HM King Hamad’s leadership.
