Lively X'mas celebrations in Thailand

SONGKHLA, December 25 (TNA) - The lively Christmas festivity is now observed in several areas in Thailand, as security authorities are well-prepared for promoting and facilitating safe travelling of nationwide revellers during the forthcoming New Year celebrations. In Hat Yai, hotels, malls and buildings, particularly those in the heart of the renowned Thai business centre in the southern Songkhla province, have put up Christmas trees and decorated their places with, for examples, presents, Reindeers and Santa Claus to welcome and attract international visitors, all the way through to the upcoming New Year festival. In Krabi province, also in the Thai South, cheerful year-end celebrations are also seen, especially on the Phi Phi Island, one of Thailand's most globally-renowned tourist destinations, where hotel rooms have already been fully booked, particularly those near the popular Ao Nang, Rai Lay and Klong Muang Beaches. Meanwhile, security authorities are launching public campaigns nationwide on creating year-end revellers' awareness on observing traffic rules, covering those on wearing helmets among motorcyclists and their back-riders and those against drunk driving, to reduce road accidents during the New Year celebrations to a lowest-possible level.
