Local media’s role hailed

Manama, Sep. 28 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation asserted that the media partners of Khalid Bin Hamad Theatres Festival For National Clubs, Youth Centres and People With Disability are a key factor of the success of the festival. The festival is organised for the third consecutive on October 4 to 21 at Muharraq Model Youth Centre by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa under by the patronage of His Highness. The festival comes within Khalid Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa Initiatives to support the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain and engage them with different events and activities. This year's edition is themed #Let's_Plant_A_Smile and aims at empowering the youth in the fields of cultural and humanitarian works. 12 plays will be demonstrated by local youth clubs during the 18 day long festival, which will also include three additional shows that will be held on the sidelines of the main shows. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa said that the coverage of the local media and press of the previous two editions of the festival has contributed to the success of the festival and support the goals it is set for by empowering the Bahraini youth and people with disabilities and develop their talents and skills. His Highness praised H.E Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi, the Minister of Information Affairs, for instructing the officials at the ministry to provide the necessary media coverage of the festival to ensure its success. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa expressed his appreciation to the local press for supporting the annual activity by allocating adequate space for it on their publications. His Highness also noted to the key role of the sponsors and partners in the success of the festival and its continuity. As part of their preparations for the festival, Hamad Town Youth Centre members are continuing their rehearsals for the play they will perform during the festival titled "Amina Wishes". The director of the play Abdullah Al-Durzi, on behalf of the crew, expressed his appreciation for HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs for allowing the Bahraini youth to demonstrate their talents in a perfect atmosphere to develop and improve them.
