Malaysian King To Attend Yassin Recital, Tahlil Prayer To Mark Maal Hijrah

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin will attend the Yassin recital, a tahlil prayer and the Islamic calendar year-end prayer at the National Mosque, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. The Islamic Development Department (Jakim), in a statement, said the event was in conjunction with the national Maal Hijrah celebration on Sunday. It said a forum would also be held at the mosque to mark the occasion starting at 5.30pm. Featuring Muaz Jabal Wangsa Maju Mosque iman Shahrizan Daud and imam muda (young imam) Muhammad Asyraf Mohd Ridzuan, it will be moderated by Zakaria Othman from Jakim. -- BERNAMA Malaysia
