Malaysia's JPA Will Ensure Johor Ports Secure From Terrorist Threat

PASIR GUDANG (Johor, Malaysia), Nov 17 (Bernama) -- The Johor Ports Authority (JPA) will constantly ensure that ports under its jurisdiction are secure from terrorist threats, assured its general manager Nik Aziz Nik Hussain. "We want to boost investor confidence and woo more of the shipping community to come to our Johor Port here and Tanjung Pelepas Port in Gelang Patah," he said. He said to enhance the security level in waters off both ports, the JPA adopted the Johor Ports Terrorist Threat Control Training Facility or Capex approach. "This training is to make sure there is a good communication network among all the terminals and with the JPA communication centre, which will alert the authorities in the event of a security threat," he told reporters here Thursday after closing the Capex II 2011 participated by 400 representatives from nine terminals. -- BERNAMA
