Malaysia's UNITAR Recognised As Educational Institution Brand of Choice At Putra Brand Awards
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 (Bernama) -- UNITAR International University (UNITAR) received the highest brand accolade for the education and learning sector after clinching the Platinum Putra Brand Award 2020 recently.
UNITAR chief executive officer Puvan Balanchandran said in a statement Wedmesday that the UNITAR brand had grown with Malaysians since its inception in 1997 as the first virtual university in Southeast Asia to offer distance learning in the then very niche market.
“The key is accessibility for all -- from innovative learning solutions that could be delivered to students wherever they are, to affordability and access to financial support for its students via the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN),” he said.
He described the achievement, as voted by the public, as a testament to the people’s trust in the brand and UNITAR’s success in value creation for its students, business partners and stakeholders whilst nurturing highly employable and global citizens.
UNITAR also scored a double when it won the prestigious Most Enterprising Brand of the Year award at the Putra Brands Award 2020.
The Putra Brands Award, also known as the People’s Choice Award, is the only brand award in the country endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), which recognises Malaysia’s favourite brands based on public interviews and votes.
