Manado Calls For Maintaining Security During WCRC

Manado, North Sulawesi, May 14 (Antara) - The Manado city administration in North Sulawesi has called on all public elements to ensure security during the World Coral Reef Conference (WCRC) scheduled to be held on May 14-17, 2014, stated an official. "Together, let us maintain security during this international event and not be easily provoked by trivial matters," Manado Deputy Mayor Harley Mangindaan stated here on Wednesday. Harley pointed out that last night, some anti-social elements created commotion, but with the assistance of the military personnel, the police security officials had brought the situation under control. He called on the people to not be affected by potential negative issues and work in tandem to maintain security and order during the international conference. "The WCRC in Manado is for our common interest, and therefore, we have to support it by ensuring security and order," Harley emphasized.
