Ministry's cooperation with UNIC explored

Manama, July 18 (BNA): The Ministry of Information Affairs Undersecretary Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar today received the Director of the UN Information Centre (UNIC) for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries, Samir Al Darabi. They explored ways to develop the existing cooperation between the ministry and UN Information Centre that resulted in successful media training programmes. Bahar reaffirmed the Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi’s keenness on bolstering the ongoing cooperation with the UN Information Centre in the field of specialized training courses aimed to enhance the skills of national journalists, and, to impart them with all the necessary components to practice all types of the journalistic vocation, wishing for the continuity of this cooperation to the benefit of all journalists. Al Darabi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister and the Undersecretary citing the ministry’s fruitful cooperation with the centre in boosting the technical support and training.
