Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017 to promote Thai tourism, cuisine on int'l stages
BANGKOK, July 18 (TNA) - Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017, Miss Chatrthira Michas, who is also Thailand's honorable Tourism Ambassador and Cultural and Women's Rights Ambassador 2017, says she will promote the Thai tourism and cuisine on international stages.
Chatrthira, nicknamed Morgan, made the remarks while paying a visit, led by executives of MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), to the head office of the state-run Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in Bangkok on Tuesday.
Accompanied by all four other runners-up, Kanyaphak Intararaksa, Kasama Suetrong, Wichida Nuamsorn and Chalita Tangthienkul, Chatrthira extended her thankfulness to TAT for being a co-sponsor of the recent Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017 pageant.
Chatrthira told reporters that she is very pleased to represent Thailand as the Tourism and Cultural and Women's Rights Ambassadors to first promote the Thai tourism and cuisine internationally at the upcoming Miss Tourism Queen International 2017, to be held in Xiang-an of China's Fujian Province, in September.
The 24-year-old half Thai, half French Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017 has received her Bachelor's Degree in English language from Bangkok-based Assumption University.
Meanwhile, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing Srisuda Wanapinyosak, who oversees Asian and South Pacific areas, acknowledged that MCOT-TAT cooperation is a major power to further promote and publicize the Thai tourism and cuisine globally in line with, in particular, the Gastronomy Tourism Campaign being
launched by TAT. (TNA)
