Mohammed bin Rashid lays foundation stone of Khalifa Residential Complex for citizens

Fujairah, Dec 7, 2011 (WAM) - His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has laid here yesterday morning the foundation stone of the Khalifa Residential Complex Project for citizens in the presence of H. H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces .
The event was also attended by H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H. H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Lt. General Musbeh Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office Ruler of Dubai, a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
Following the laying of foundation stone of the project being implemented by the Ministry of Works for the Zayed Housing Programme in cooperation with Fujairah Municipality, the Vice President, the Ruler of Fujairah and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince were briefed by Sheikh Hamdan on the component of promising project: designs of its residential units and interior compartments.
Sheikh Hamdan said the Khalifa Residential Complex Project, which will be constructed at Al Nahdah district in Dibba Fujairah, spreads on land area of 360, 000 square metres, and includes 400 multifaceted model residential units; some residential units are four bed-room, three bed-room, while others are two-bed room.
The Minister said the execution will be commenced within days and will be completed in 16 months at cost Dhs360 million.
He thanked the Vice President, the Ruler of Fujairah and the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince for their participation in the launching of project, which will benefit Emirati families, adding that the event coincided with the UAE's 40th national day anniversary.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid expressed his pleasure about the implementation of the Sheikh Khalifa Residential Complex Project, noting that "it is a genuine translation of the directives by the UAE President, especially in such national occasions in which Sheikh Khalifa is keen to make citizens happy and meet their decent living requirements to achieve the family and psychological stability".
The Vice President lauded the efforts of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme's officials, notably, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak, for their sustained efforts to enhance the living conditions of Emirati families in the remote areas in the UAE. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
