MONGOLIA TO HOST AMCDRR 2018

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin received Kaveh Zahedi, Deputy Executive Secretary, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and Beate Trankman, UN Resident Coordinator, on November 2. As a member of the United Nations, Mongolia reflected the Sustainable Development Goals in its state policy and approved the Concepts of Mongolian Sustainable Development - 2030, defining targets to be firstly fulfilled nationwide. The Deputy PM appreciated valuable contributions of projects of the UN and its system organizations for implementation of the CMSD-2030. He also said that in July, 2018 Mongolia will host the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction 2018, expressing a confidence that the organizations will cooperate with Mongolia in all aspects, rendering supports to satisfy preparations for AMCDRR 2018 and fulfilling post-conference decisions. In turn, Kaveh Zahedi expressed commitment to keep up active cooperation with Mongolia and render supports to satisfy preparations to organize next year’s conference. M. Unurzul
