MPs express support for Interior Minister’s initiative

Manama, Jan. 14 (BNA): Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today a number of members of the Council of Representatives, chaired by Second Deputy Speaker, MP Abdulhaleem Murad, in the presence of Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan. The Interior Minister welcomed the MPs, hailing the legislative and supervisory role of the Council of Representatives and the valuable topics it discusses.  The MPs expressed thanks and appreciation to Interior Minister out of appreciation of the active security performance and the foiling of terrorist crimes.  They also expressed full support to the national belonging initiative that was launched by the Interior Minister during his last meeting with public figures that consists of five main factors.  They asserted their support for this advanced initiative and its importance in the reinforcement of national identity. The minister expressed gratitude to this generous gesture and the brotherly visit for its high national values, in a way that reflects the role of the Council of the Representatives and its dedication to following up on the safety of the nation and citizens, and the positive participation of MPs in supporting security protection operations. They discussed issues of common interest related to reinforcing coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and the Council to achieve further security and stability in the Kingdom.
