MUST to launch satellite next year

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the initiation of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), joint team of MUST, National University of Mongolia (NUM) and Kyushu Institute of Technology held its first online meeting on satellite launching on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the MUST. At the meeting the parties discussed to which ‘Bird’ program the project will be included and joint land station use of the MUST and NUM. The ‘Bird’ is an annual satellite launching program of Kyushu Institute of Technology and multinational team, which launches in October. Mongolia was first involved in the ‘Birds’ program in 2015 and the NUM launched the Mazaalai satellite on July 7, 2017. The second program began in 2016, launching a satellite in August 2018. It is planned to launch the satellite in 2019 within the ‘Birds-III’ program started in 2017.
