Mustapa To Share Insights On Strategic Partnerships In Singapore

By Tengku Noor Shamsiah Tengku Abdullah SINGAPORE, Nov 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed and his Singaporean counterpart, Lim Hng Kiang, will provide insights on the latest initiatives to foster strategic partnerships between the two countries at a business forum Thursday. They will also provide the outlook on both countries' economy and investment opportunities at the Malaysia-Singapore Business Forum to be held at the Raffles City Convention Centre here. The forum is organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, International Trade and Industry Ministry and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, together with International Enterprise (IE) Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF). In a joint statement released by IE Singapore Wednesday, the organisers said about 700 participants would attend the forum aimed at providing the latest information on initiatives taken by both Malaysia and Singapore to foster business collaboration ties, and updates on latest policies. The forum will be facilitated by Lorraine Hahn, former TV Presenter of CNN and CNBC. Singapore Aerospace Manufacturing Senior Vice President (Corporate Development) Oh Chong Ho and YCH Group Ltd CEO Robert Yap will share their experiences of doing business in Malaysia. The participants will be able to hear the practical experience of these two Singapore companies that have significant business operations in Malaysia. Other panellists in the discussion include Malaysia-Singapore Business Council representative Ghazali Datuk Yusoff and Singapore Business Federation Chairman Tony Chew. The participants will have excellent opportunities to network with ministers, senior Malaysian government officials and business leaders attending the forum. -- BERNAMA
