N. Korea Fires Possible ICBM

Seoul, March 6 (Jiji Press)--North Korea fired a projectile from a northwestern area of the country toward the Sea of Japan at around 7:36 a.m. Monday (10:36 p.m. Sunday GMT), according to the South Korean military. The reclusive state probably launched an intercontinental ballistic missile from an area near the Tongchang-ri long-range missile site, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported, adding that the projectile fell into the sea. In Tokyo, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters that the Japanese government had already been informed of the North Korean action. END
