NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY TO BE CELEBRATED ON FRIDAY

Ulaanbaatar/ MONTSAME/ The 106th anniversary of Restoring the National Freedom and Independence of Mongolia will be marked on this Friday, December 29. Mongolia declared its independence after ending the Qing Dynasty domination on December 29, 1911. When eighth Bogd was enthroned as Bogd Khan, he received the state stamp and national flag and then he made historical decision to establish a government with five ministries and started ruling the country under his reign. Restoration of the National Freedom and Independence in 1911 is considered as significant historical event to be commemorated proudly throughout the nationwide from generations to generations. According to the law approved by the Parliament on August 16, 2007, the 29th of December is observed as public holiday.
