NEMA DEPUTY CHIEF MEETS OPERATIONS DIRECTOR OF WORLD VISION INTERNATIONAL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Brigadier General G.Ariunbuyan, the Deputy Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia, met Dorana Javier, Operations Director of World Vision International on March 14. At the meeting, the sides emphasized that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) together with the World Vision International Mongolia have successfully implemented national sub-program “Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction”. As a result, public organizations and citizens are voluntarily participating in disaster risk reduction actions. Apart from this, it laid the foundation of cooperation between the NEMA and the WVI. They also highlighted that other projects namely ‘Disaster Risk Reduction in western aimags’, ‘Risk reduction and resilience building at Mongolian schools’ and ‘Disaster resilient Ulaanbaatar’ have been realized following the implementation of the program.
