NEW MONUMENT ERECTED AT GANDAN MONASTERY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Last Thursday saw the inauguration of a new monument at the Gandantegchenling Monastery. The ‘Shakyamuni Buddha’ monument, depicting a little Buddha, was created by sculptor S.Boldbat, under the sponsorship of SOD Mongol Group LLC. Attended by Khamba Lama of Gandantegchenling Monastery D.Choijamts, the opening ceremony attracted a number of Mongolian Buddhists and tourists. Ts.Anandbazar, President of SOD Mongol Group LLC was also present and expressed his gratitude to those who were part of the project to erect a little Buddha at the central Buddhist monastery.
