Norwegian ambassador lauds SCW achievements

Manama, June 5 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) held a meeting with Norwegian Ambassador to Bahrain Sten Anders Berge, in the presence of SCW member Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi. During the meeting, held at the centre of developing Bahraini women's capabilities (Riyadat), the SCW Director of Public and International Relations Shaikha Dina bint Rashid Al Khalifa presented a documentary on the SCW successful march, since its inception in 2001, under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King. She highlighted the council's efforts in carrying out the national plan for empowering Bahraini women. She also presented a briefing on the activities of Riyadat in serving Bahraini women. On his part, the Norwegian ambassador lauded the efforts and achievements of SCW spearheaded by HRH Princess Sabeeka, pointing out the pioneering initiatives in empowering Bahraini women, especially in entrepreneurship.
