NUMBER OF FOREIGN WORKERS DETERMINED FOR 2018

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During its meeting on November 24, the Cabinet adopted an annex on the ratio of foreign workers within the workforce to be employed by companies and organizations operating in Mongolia in 2018. An entity, working in a sector not included the annex and employs more than 20 Mongolians, will hire foreign workers and specialists constituting not more than five percent of its total workforce. Minister of Health D.Sarangerel was assigned to take charge of the paid medical examinations of the foreign workers in advance. As of October 31, 2017, there are 9,500 foreign nationals from 91 countries working in Mongolia. The Cabinet aims to reduce the number of foreign workforce in Mongolia by up to 50 percent by 2020.
