OPEC General Secretary Arrives In Baghdad

BAGHDAD / NINA / The general secretary of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries / OPEC / Mohammad Barkindo arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday morning 25 Oct. The official spokesman for the Oil Ministry, Assem Jihad told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "this visit is so important and the ministry will brief the secretary-general of (OPEC) its own oil production numbers." He added that "the visit, at this time, forms support for the subject of Iraq's oil exports." The oil minister Jabbar Layaibi called, in a press statement on Sunday, to exempt Iraq from the restrictions of production, as being in need for finance imports at the time running the war against Daesh./ End
