PM CONTINUES WORKING VISIT IN BAYANKHONGOR AIMAG

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh worked in Bayankhongor aimag on May 8, as a continuation of his rural working visit. The PM launched an action of the year namely, ‘Veterinary preventive measures’ in the aimag and handed over complete tractors, hand tractors, sheep and goat shearing machines, livestock vaccines and medical vehicles. Following the event, the Prime Minister met with governors of 20 soums of the aimag and other officials. The aimag Governor G.Batjargal gave information about present socioeconomic situation and introduced aimag’s plan on immediate and long-term specific tasks. The aimag’s mission is to become one of the leading five aimags of Mongolia and it needs to improve its economic capability, emphasized the Governor. In the meeting, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh introduced the government’s two main goals: to strengthen justice in the society and reinforce accountability and discipline, and to stop economic downturn and ensure economic recovery. Also, he assigned the aimag authorities to reinforce an official order of the Government on accountability and discipline. When working in Bayankhongor aimag, the Prime Minister made decisions on six urgent issues; to establish meat-processing plant and thermal power plant, commence a construction work of a school for 960 children, and build an ambulatory center and pediatric hospital. In addition, the aimag Governor was given a duty to make budget adjustment in order to build a Children’s Palace in the aimag.
